Movico has not been standing still during last winter and worked hard behind the scenes. All mobile facilities have been thoroughly checked to start the season well prepared. Some facilities even underwent a real transformation to surprise the customer this year.
The season was set in motion in Gent, at the 'Omloop het Nieuwsblad' this year. Both men and women went for the finish during the first of the six Flemish classics. After a successful first deployment of the Mobile Podium XL, a widened version of the standard stage at Tour of Flanders in 2016, the Mobile Podium XL was also used during ‘Omloop Het Nieuwsblad’ this year. End result: an impressive ceremony stage completely according to the organisation’s look and feel.
Next stop: Strade Bianche. After the finish of ‘Omloop Het Nieuwsblad’, the same Press Unit together with the Mobile Podium, was immediately prepped for this beautiful spring race in Italy. Because of multiple race designs, the Press Units were re-branded on location with a local party. The combination continued its drive to include the following classics Tirreno - Adriatico and final race Milano - San Remo.
During the upcoming month the Flemish classics 'Dwars door Vlaanderen', 'Scheldeprijs', and 'Ronde van Vlaanderen' will be continuing their way through the Belgian landscape. At the end of March, we are present at 'Driedaagse De Panne', where we will provide one of our facilities for hospitality purposes at the finish line. As of April, our mobile facilities will continue to spread throughout Europe to set up a number of (temporary) venues. Curious where we're going? Keep an eye on our social media!
