After a thriving season full of the finest road shows, exhibitions and exciting sporting events, Movico’s crew is already preparing for the start of the winter season. Time to reflect on 2016 so far and all the wonderful collaborations that have been established.
This year started on another continent for our operators. For the 8th year in a row, we received the honour to facilitate the Dakar Rally. This journey was followed by two ski events, supported by ample press stands. Besides South America and France, we were actively present during sports events in over 12 countries. Cycle races as Tour des Fjords (Norway), Tour of Croatia (Croatia) and Tour de Pologne (Poland) were supported with hospitality units, press stands and a finish arch.
Again, our customer Huawei went on tour this year with completely renewed roadshow facilities. This B2B roadshow promoting the latest communication systems visited Western- and Eastern Europe. Leading brand Samsung visited her customers at their doorstep with various innovative and educational tours in the range of air conditioning, White Goods, Brown Goods and the ongoing roadshow for Samsung Displays.
Other successful events like Giro d'Italia started in the Netherlands this year, where we could extract ourselves for the 10th time. Furthermore, we celebrated our 20th participation backstage at Tour de France. Proud that after 20 years no less than 26 of our trucks and trailers left travelling all over France to facilitate this event. The Classic Express had a reason to celebrate as well. This year the 100,000th child visited this mobile concert hall which is already on tour for nine years.
Beside fruitful projects of existing business relations, Movico was once again able to realise several new projects. Among other things our press stands debuted in equestrian sports at the Waregem Koerse, the Giant Expo 2 went on tour as roadshow facility with Valvoline celebrating their jubilee and the Multi 3 visits about 100 events in 20 different countries with component supplier Valeo this year. In short, we have certainly not been idle.
Summarised, 2016 has been an exciting year so far with beautiful B2B and B2C projects. Our goal to launch that unique roadshow, eye-catching exhibition or a fluently facilitated sports event with the customers will continue to be a challenge every time.
